The past few days the Kollywood film industry is in a tussle after Suriya deciding to stream his next movie 'Ponmagal Vandhal' starring Jyothika on Amazon Prime foregoing theatrical release. Theater owners are seeing red and are threatening to boycott the big star's other films but his 2D Entertainment banner is firm on releasing the film in May 1st week.

Meanwhile another buzz started doing the rounds in the Kodambakkam area that Thalapthy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj will also be debuting on Amazon Prime. When we got in touch with sources close to the team they rubbished the reports stating that the film will stream on the same platform but only after its theatrical run is completed and they are waiting for normalcy to return before fixing a release date.

'Master' directed by Lokesh Kangaraj with music score by Anirudh Ravichander has Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi playing the hero and the villain respectively with Andrea Jeremiah, Malavika Mohanan, Shantanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das playing other important roles.
