Thaka Dhimi Tha

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • தமிழ் Comments

After experimenting with the action genre, Sundar C makes a veritable return to his roots. Sundar C won his spurs as a dependable director through some earthy humor and slapstick comedy. He promises you precisely that in the lavishly made Thaka Thimi Tha, a bilingual (Tamil and Telugu).

The movie stars newcomer Yuva Krishna and Ankitha in the lead roles. Ankitha is now a hugely popular actress in Telugu. For the Tamil audience she is a new one (unless somebody tells them that she is the Rasna girl of yore). Ankitha, the voluptuous actress, will be hoping that this film provides her break into Tamil. She doesn't hold back on glamour. So stay tuned for some fun and fanfare.

Vivek is playing an important role opposite Tejashree in the film. So you can expect the roof to come down with laughter. M S Viswanathan, Paravai Muniamma, Rajeev, Nirosha and Shakeela are also in the cast.

Speaking about he movie, Sundar C says, "it's a hilarious entertainer with Vivek at his best." When Sundar C himself says that, it is high praise indeed.

Imman has come out with nine numbers for the movie, and all of them have the coat of youthful energy over them.

Noted director Selva Bharathy, who directed movies like Ninaithen Vanthai and Vaseegara starring Vijay has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.

Sundar does not want to talk about the film, expect say that it is about youngsters. The movie, to be released in February is a sure treat for youths and those who love humour, says Sundar. After the failure of Winner and a couple of films before that, Sundar wants to comeback strongly. Giri helped him only a bit.

Raveendhra, a NRI, who has distributed Telugu and Tamil movies in the USA and London, is producing the movie.
