After the blockbuster 'Vedalam' Thala Ajith has taken a brief sabbatical as he underwent a surgery in November 2015. The star is expected to make a thunderous comeback for his 57th film which will be directed by Siva and produced by the prestigious Sathya Jyothi Movies banner.
This is the third film for director Siva with Ajith after delivering 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam'. Anirudh Ravichander who scored the music for 'Vedalam' will be retained for the musical score of 'Thala 57'. The other cast and crew members are being finalized.
The shooting of the film is expected to start in the month of May and an official announcement about the project can be expected anytime this month.
'Thala 57' is touted to be a gangster flick that will be shot predominantly in foreign countries. The star is touted to ton down his physique to look young.
The team is apparently targeting a April 2014 release.
