Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been known for her performances in movies like Dirty Picture, the life story of Silk Smitha, Kahaani, Tumhari Sulu etc and is now acting in Shakuntala Devi biopic.

Vidya Balan who had recently made her Tamil debut with Thala Ajith starrer Ner Konda Paarvai, where she played the actor's wife in a brief cameo has said that, people who hate her need not watch her films.

In a recent interview she has said that she had been independently choosing movies after Dirty picture and Kahaani and it is her boldness that made her do movies across languages. She said that her choice of movies might be liked by some and disliked by some and added that those who dislike her don't need to watch her movies.
