Thala Ajith in spite of his demigod status prefers to keep a low profile and seldom makes public appearances including his own film poojas, audio releases or other events.  This has made it almost impossible for shutterbugs to catch a glimpse of him anywhere and fans have to do with what they get.

Ace cinematographer Ravi Varman has shared a rare unseen photo of Thala Ajith in his younger days looking dashing with spectacles.  He has captioned the pic "Golden Age art photo of the day".  The late actor Murali is also seen in the pic and could have been taken when Ravi worked as an assistant to Ravi K Chandran during the shooting of 'Kandukondein Kandukondein' in which Mammootty, Ajith, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Tabu played the lead roles.   Ravi also shot a few initial portions of Ajith's 'Vaali' directed by S.J. Suryah and the snap could have been from that set too.

Ravi Varman is cranking the camera for Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' starring Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Thala Ajith has completed shooting fifty percent of his next 'Valimai' before the lockdown and will resume work as soon as the coronavirus pandemic ends.  The epic action adventure film is directed by H.Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music.  The film has Ajith and Huma Qureshi as the lead pair while Yogi Babu, Pearle Maaney and Karthikeya play other important roles.
