Thala Ajith's frank statement released last night has become the headlines of broadcast, print, online and social media. He had clearly explained his stand of never indulging in politics and has also adviced his fans to abstain from petty mudslinging of other heroes and critics on the internet. We take this opportunity to recall how Ajith has remained steady in his policies for the past twelve years since his last television interviews in 2007 for 'Billa' (He did come out for the Sivaji Ganesan family during 'Asal' promotions in 2010 as an exception).

Thala was very talkative in his earlier days according to his own interview and used to share whatever he felt in his mind but put a full stop once he realized that it worked against him in the long run. His decision not to participate in the promotions of his films is due to his belief that a good film does not need advertisement and a bad film deserves to fail which he has maintained to this day. His recent film 'Viswasam' has become a huge hit due to its strong content and Thala did not even mention it in his long letter.

He has mentioned in his statement "What I expect from my fans is that students should focus on their education, those who have their own business or are working should focus on their work, they should obey law and order, they should focus on their health, should be united, and respectful towards others. That will be the affection you show me. Live and let live.”

Courtesy of Ajith fans we have added a video below which clearly proves that Ajith had the same words for his followers ten years back and has made the same requests to them. Now isn't it laudable for such a huge star to remain steady in his policies and not change according to the demands of the situations?
