Thala Ajith's 'Valimai' is one of the most ambitious films in South Indian cinema that has expectations in not only pan Indian but also global markets. The film has the box office king playing a super cop and after along time will be performing bike and car chases and gravity-defying stunts.

While fifty percent of the shooting of 'Valimai' was completed in Hyderabad and Chennai before the coronavirus lockdown Ajith taking into consideration the safety of the cast and crew instructed the team not to resume work until the virus disappeared or a vaccine is found.

However since thousands of film workers' livelihoods have become a question mark, Ajith is said to have changed his mind and has now asked the team to plan the schedules from mid-October onwards. He is also said to have asked the director H.Vinod to plan to shoot all the scenes that were set abroad in India itself once again due to safety concerns.

According to this latest development Thala Ajith will come on front of the camera much sooner than expected and the team is planning to finish the shooting by the end of the year. Extensive postproduction will then be undergone for the next three months and in all probability 'Valimai' will hit the screens worldwide as a grand summer treat for fans in 2021.

'Valimai' directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor has Huma Qureshi, Peale Manney, Yogi Babu and Karthikeya in the cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music while Nirav Shah is handling the camera.
