Thala Ajith is currently acting in his 60th movie Valimai which is directed by H. Vinoth after the success of their previous movie Ner konda Paarvai. Valimai is produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview projects LLP.

After the resumption of shooting post lockdown in Hyderabad, the team took a break and is again resuming the schedule in Hyderabad soon and it has been said that 20% of the shooting of Valimai is remaining.

Now the latest buzz is that Valimai team is planning to release the movie on May 1, 2020 on Ajith's 50th birthday as a massive special treat for fans of the actor. While an official clarification on this speculation is awaited, if this turns a reality it'll be a huge special birthday treat from Ajith and Valimai team for fans.
