The hot favourite of fans` Mottai Rajendran though introduced as a deadly villain in Naan Kadavul` first dabbled in comedy in M.Rajesh`s Arya-Santhanam starrer Boss Engira Bhaskaran`. The tone in which he calls Santhanam Thala-Thalapathy went well with the audience and even in a recent interview the actor stated that fans generally shout Thala-Thalapathy when they see him.

Interestingly Rajendran is currently working simultaneously with Ajith in Thala 56` and Illathalapathy in Vijay 59`. While he is a part of the comedy cast in the Ajith film he is doing the main comedian in Vijay 59` a role originally written for Vadivelu which requires sixty days call sheet from him. These two films will surely catapult the already popular Mottai Rajendran into the big league.
