It has all apparently started due to a hardcore Telugu cinema fan starting a hashtag #TeluguRealHeroes which was at first trending and they used it to belittle Tamil heroes.

Now fans of not only Ajith and Vijay but those of Rajini, Kamal, Suriya, Vikram, Karthi, Simbu, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Jayam Ravi and Jiiva fans too have joined in. Meme creators are also having a field day posting trolls on the Telugu heroes with some evoking a smile and others in really poor taste. However, one thing that has made netizens happy is to see the Vijay and Ajith fans working together to make trend fly high on the internet.
