WOW! Superstar Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj take Thalaivar 171 to the next level?

Lokesh Kanagaraj, the current sensational director in Tamil cinema is busy directing Thalapathy Vijay's much awaited 'Leo'. Kollywood has been abuzz since the news spread a few weeks ago that Superstar Rajinikanth is teaming up with him for 'Thalaivar 171'. It was reported that several production houses including Kamal Haasan's RKFI, Sun Pictures, Seven Screen Studios and Hombale Films were vying to bankroll the mega project.

Now there is a super hot news that the photo shoot for 'Thalaivar 171' was recently conducted in a studio in Chennai. Rajini and Lokesh reportedly took part in it where there was also a test shoot for the lauch was also done. There has been no official confirmation yet but fans of both the celebrities are on cloud nine as this indicates that the film will go on floors as soon as Rajini completes 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J. Gnanavel and the release of 'Leo'. It is said that Sun Pictures has bagged the prestigious project and will be making it on one of the biggest budgets ever.

Meanwhile Rajini's 'Jailer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar is all set to release on August 10th. The thespian has also started shooting for his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam' in which he plays a powerful supporting role with Jeevitha, Vikranth, Vishnu Vishal others.

Lokesh on the other hand is already committed for Karthi's 'Kaithi 2', Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram 3' a couple of projects in Telugu and Hindi as well. Whether one of these projects will go on floors before 'Thalaivar 171' remains to be seen.
