This year's biggest announcement is undoubtedly the coming together of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in 'Thalapathy 64' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produce by XB Film Creators. It is said that the Makkal Selvan has been paid the biggest remuneration in his career for the powerful antagonist role. He has also got top billing alongside Vijay in the poster designs too.

It is common knowledge that Vijay Sethupathi has a number of films in various stages of production and is one of the busiest stars in Indian cinema featuring in multi-languages. To facilitate VJS to handle all his other projects with ease Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj have reportedly decided to concentrate on portions involving the 'Super Deluxe' star and finish it fast and allow him to exit the project at the earliest. The 'Thalapathy 64' team also is taking care about Vijay Sethupathi's getup so as not to affect his other projects as well.

'Thalapathy 64' has music score by Anirudh and also stars Malavika Mohanan, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Antony Varghese Pepe, Sriman, Sanjeev and Srinath.
