Fans cant wait to catch Thalapathy Vijay's new 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which is ready for release but is put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. Realistically the film is expected to hit the theaters only after January 2021 when normalcy is expected to return and audiences gain the confidence to enter public places like cinema halls.

'Master' with music score of Anirudh Ravichander has the dream casting of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi as hero and villain respectively with Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das in the ensemble.

Vijay was planning to shoot his next film 'Thalapathy 65' after the release of 'Master' but as mentioned above this too can happen only next year. The film is to be directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures with Thaman said to be in talks for the music and Santhosh Shivan the cinematography.

Meanwhile, our sources have informed that the extra time that the pandemic and lockdown has given has been utilized by Murugadoss to fine-tune his script and he is also under pressure to deliver a hit since his last movie 'Darbar' starring Rajinikanth was a flop. It is said that so far Vijay has only listened to a line narration and soon will be looking at the bound script.

It is said that only after Vijay approves the screenplay of 'Thalapathy 65' a decision will be arrived by Sun Pictures regarding the budget, the rest of the cast and shooting locations. But one thing that is certain is that it is going to be a much more exciting film as all the loopholes in the script are said to be corrected now. Stay tuned for more on this exciting project.
