Thalapathy Vijay the box office magician of Tamil cinema has completed his new movie 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which is expected to release on Pongal 2021. The film with music score by Anirudh has Vijay Sethupathi as the villain and Andrea Jeremiah and Malavika Mohanan as the female leads.

Meanwhile the pre-production work for Vijay's next movie 'Thalapathy 65' has been going on for the past couple of months with director A.R. Murugadoss at the helm and Sun Pictures bankrolling.

Now in the trade circles it is being whispered that A.R. Murugadoss has opted out of 'Thalapathy 65'. One version is that Vijay liked the first half of the story narrated by the director and wanted the second portion to be changed which did not work out.

The other version is that Vijay and ARM are ok with the script but there is creative difference between the director and the producers. It is said that a few top directors are in negotiations to helm 'Thalapathy 65'.

At this time we could not verify the authenticity of this report but fans who have enjoyed three blockbusters , 'Thuppakki', 'Kaththi' and 'Sarkar' from the Vijay and Murugadoss combo hope that differences are sorted out soon and 'Thalapathy 65' moves ahead with the same magical collaboration.
