Vijay's 'Beast' has grabbed the attention of cinephiles as the film is slated for release on April 13th. But the sad news for the fans of Thalapathy is that the film has been banned in Qatar after Kuwait.

This is the second film after Vishal's FIR to be banned in these two countries. 'Beast' deals with terrorism, and the film also has several action sequences. The film has reportedly stereotyped Muslims as terrorists, and it was condemned by the TN Mulsim association.

Earlier, the Kuwait government banned 'Beast' to release in their territory as it portrayed Muslims as terrorists and it has a few dialogues against Pakistan. Now, the Qatar government has reportedly banned the film from being released in their region pointing out the same reason.

Apart from this, the Islamist organisation Tamil Nadu Muslim League has also issued a statement alleging that the film industry has always tried to create an impression that Muslims are terrorists and sought a ban on the movie – Beast.

“The film industry has always created an impression that Muslims are terrorists, as is often the case in Tamil films. We see many social organisations strongly opposing when a film mentions their caste identity or has names of caste leaders as film characters,” said the party leader Mustapha.
