Thalapathy Vijay is one of the few heroes who not only has a humongous fan following in home state Tamil Nadu but also the neighbouring states as well.  When his films release the Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra fans celebrate with as much vigour and fierce loyalty as the Tamil fans.

Vijay's 'Bigil' is releasing as 'Whistle' in Telugu on the same day October 25th and there is huge demand for the first day first shows and the Diwali weekend shows.  The Andhra fans have erected a huge 50 feet cutout for Vijay at a Hyderabad theater Sandhya 70mm where the film is going to be screened.  The trade analysts in the state are in wonder seeing the fanfare that Vijay enjoys which is on par with that of the big stars there such as Mahesh Babu, Junior NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Teja. It is worth mentioning that the putting up of cutouts and banners are banned in Tamil Nadu but not in the other states.

'Whistle/Bigil' directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment has Vijay and Nayanthara as the lead pair with music score by A.R. Rahman.
