The news that Thalapathy Vijay is singing the "Verithanam" song in 'Bigil' under the music composition of Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman has made fans super happy and became a trending topic on social media nationwide. Before Vijay, two other mass heroes have sung for Rahman in the past in his three-decade career.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan was the first hero to sing the 'Injiringo song along with Chithra for Rahman in 'Tenali' in the year 2000. In 2002 Simbu sang the "Bailamore" song for the Oscar winner for the film 'Kadhal Virus" in which he did not act but later in 2016 he sang "Showcali" in 'Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada". Now its the Thalapathy for 'Bigil' and remains to be seen if others join this elite list in the future.
