Thalapathy Vijay's mass power acknowledged by Twitter officials

Twitter India is currently conducting an event Vanakkam Twitter in which later in the day Kamal Haasan will be participating in question answer session with Divyadarshini moderating. Taranjeet Singh the Country director of Twitter has acknowledged that Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' hashtag was the most used in the entire country in the year 2018.
In the event it has also been revealed that so far in 2018 Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' title and first look announcement by Sun Pictures is the most reached on twitter. Out of the 40 million entertainment tweets in India in 2017 50 percent have been from the Tamil and Telugu industries.
