Thalapathy Vijay's rocking first look images of his upcoming film 'Sarkar' was released on his birthday and became worldwide trending on social media.  However there were also objections from the likes of politicians such as Anbumani Ramadoss over a particular image showing Vijay with a cigarette on his lips.

The Public Health department has sent notices to Vijay, director A.R. Murugadoss and producer Sun Pictures asking them to remove the controversial 'Sarkar' images from all platforms.  They have also been warned of legal action if they fail to remove the said image.  It is also mentioned in the notice that the film world should cooperate with the government's effort to curb smoking habit among youngsters.
