Thalapathy Vijay has once again delivered a blockbuster hit movie 'Varisu' that has collected over rupees three hundred crores worldwide. He has achieved the feat weathering stiff competition from arch rival Ajith's 'Thunivu' and mixed reviews.
Meanwhile Vijay's son Jason Sanjay is following the footsteps of his grandfather S.A. Chandrasekharan and is more keen on directing. He has graduated from a Canadian film school and has already acted and directed short films.
Now the latest BTS video of Jason Sanjay directing a short film has gone viral on the internet. He is apparently doing the filming abroad with a foreign cast and crew. The actor is also mouthing his lines in English.
There were reports several months back that Jason Sanjay will be debuting as actor alongside Vijay Sethupathi in the Tamil remake of 'Upenna' but it did not materialise. It is also said that Sanjay is very fond of Vijay Sethupathi and has plans to direct him in a feature film. We will have to wait and watch how things turns out for the budding young talent.
Vijay meanwhile will begin shooting for his next pan Indian biggie 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film costars Trisha, Manzoor Ali Khan, GVM, Mysskin and Arjun. There are also speculations that Kamal Haasan, Chiyaan Vikram, Suriya and Karthi may also make special appearances.
