Thalapathy Vijay, Superstar Rajinikanth and other stars face trouble on Twitter! - Click to know the reason

We all know that Elon Musk bought the popular social media site Twitter for $44 billion last year. One of the first things he changed on Twitter is the verified 'blue ticks'. Musk introduced monthly payment schemes for the legacy blue ticks and anyone who pays the money can have it.

CEO Elon Musk on April 12 tweeted that all the users who are yet to pay up will lose their verified blue badges starting April 20 and now, many celebrities, politicians and big shots are losing their blue ticks. Actors Rajinikanth, Vijay, Simbu, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi and many film directors have lost their legacy blue ticks on Twitter.

Chief Minister MK Stalin and Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's Twitter accounts have also lost the blue ticks. Kamal Haasan and Suriya seem to be the only Tamil celebrities who still have the verified blue tick. The blue tick can't be found on the profiles of popular cricketers MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as well. These big tickets are expected to get their blue ticks back soon.

Renowned Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar also lost their blue verified ticks and so did Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In India, Twitter Blue is priced at Rs 900 per month on iOS and Android, and Rs 650 on the Web client. Twitter offers a discounted yearly plan of Rs 6,500, which boils down to around Rs 566 per month.
