Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' directed by Atlee is one of the year's eagerly anticipated star movie as Vijay is touted to seen in a never before seen avatars of a magician and a village chief.

With stills and promo videos having already picqued the curiosity of fans, Atlee has revealed that Vijay’s village panchayat chief portions comprises about 50 minutes of the total run time. He also further added that the role will be the highlight in the film.

'Mersal' which has Vijay playing the lead roles also has Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen and Samantha sharing screen space with the mass actor in pivotal characters. The movie bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films is slated to entertain fans starting this October 18.
