Director C.S. Amudhan is the pioneer of modern spoof films in Tamil cinema who tasted huge success on debut with 'Thamizh Padam' starring Mirchi Shiva that released in 2010. He again repeated the success with the sequel in 2018 and is likely to helm the third part too in the near future.

C.S. Amudhan known for his humorous digs on social media trolled the 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer which has received mixed reviews. He has tagged his friend and 'Thamizh Padam 2' producer Sashikanth of Y Not Studios stating "Dear @sash041075 I can’t better this, you have your TP3 director. Best wishes".

'PM Narendra Modi' is directed by Omung Kumar and co-produced by Suresh Oberoi whose son Vivek Oberoi plays the title role. The film is scheduled to release on the 5th of April in 23 languages ahead of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on the 11th.
