Actor Prakash Raj has won many awards in state and national levels. But the last time he won the national award for Best Actor was for the 2008 film Kanchivaram' directed by Priyadarshan.

Now the versatile actor seems to be joining hands with the director who fetched him a national award with his story that gave the celluloid presentation of a poor silk weaver of the pre independence era.

Priyadarshan has apparently narrated a script to Prakash Raj and the latter has accepted to act in the lead role.

The Multi-linguistic actor has confirmed this in his social networking page: "Heard a script narrated by Priyadarshan last night and I was unable to sleep after that. I am happy that the Kanjeevaram' team is coming back again".

In Tamil Prakash Raj is acting with Kamal Haasan in Thoongavanam' and has also signed up for a role in Superstar Rajinikanth's film to be directed by Ranjith. He is also acting in the Tamil remake of Jolly LLB'.

Can we expect yet another national award for Prakash Raj this year?
