The Most Wanted Heroine of Kollywood

The star value of Nayanthara seems to be growing as she gets older and demand for her in Kollywood is on the rise in spite of stiff competition from her contemporary heroine's and newcomers as well. 2015 belonged to Nayan as she delivered a hattrick of hits with 'Thani Oruvan', 'Maya' and 'Naanum Rowdhy Dhaan'. 2016 too seems to her year as she has an exciting lineup. Here we take a look at her films releasing one after the other.

'Idhu Namma Aaalu'

The film when announced a couple of years back made sensational headlines as the ex-couple Nayanthara and Simbu were coming together under Pandiraj's direction. 'Idhu Namma Aalu', however, got delayed due to unfortunate circumstances, even after getting ready a year earlier. Now that Sri Thenandal films have acquired the film, this will be Nayan's first release this year and insiders reveal that she has given a sterling performance in it.

'Thirunaal'

The 'E' pair Nayanthara and Jiiva are coming together for 'Thirunaal' directed by Ramnath. The film has Jiiva playing a village rowdy and Nayan the role of a bold school teacher. Fans can expect one more different character from Nayan as a rural belle.

'Kashmora'

When Linguswamy first started the super hit 'Paiyaa' it was with Karthi and Nayanthara but the heroine could not do the film for some unknown reasons and was replaced by Tamannaah. After six years Karthi and Nayanthara are coming together in the fantasy, horror 'Kashmora' which is said to feature the pair as a royal couple.

'Iru Mugan'

Nayanthara squashed all rumors that she is not keen to work with Vikram and signed 'Iru Mugan' directed by Anand Shankar with the star. Said to be a Scifi thriller the pairing of the talented Vikram and Nayanthara has raised huge expectations for the film, which is shot entirely in Malaysia and other countries.
