Theatre bandh: Stalemate on verge on total resolution

Although single screens in the Telugu States were expected to be open from today, latest updates reveal that it's going to take a few more days for theatres to start screening movies.

This decision has been taken by Telangana's theatres in view of the reluctance of the theatres in Andhra Pradesh to immediately open their doors. However, this "stalemate" is expected to be resolved by Thursday.

This situation was not unexpected. M Vijender Reddy of Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce had spoken of this possibility.

The strike was almost officially called off by producers on Monday when Digital Service Providers like Qube and UFO agreed to reduce their fees by 20 percent.
