'Thenavattu' opens big

The director of 'Thenavattu', V. V. Kathir has proved to be a true student of his mentor Perarasu by churning out a commercial entertainer that is loaded with action sequences, punch dialogues and minimal logic.

The film which has been bought and distributed by Sun Pictures is being aggressively popularized through the television channels of Sun Network.

Thanks to all this, the film has opened big in Tamilnadu. 'Thenavattu' stars Jeeva in an out and out action role and has shades of Vijay from 'Tiruppachi'. Poonam Bejwa plays the heroine.

Thenavattu's brilliant opening proved that action films with punch dialogues are still saleable in Tamilnadu.
