Trekking club founder's residence comes under police scrutiny

The Theni forest fire has put the state into a shock of grief and sorrow. The inferno which broke out in the Kurangani region has consumed 11 lives so far while the remaining rescued are undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile the Theni police have conducted search operation in the  Pallavakkam residence of the Chennai Trekking Club founder Peter Van Geit, a Belgian national settled in India. Reportedly, cops have searched Peter’s office as well. Watch this space for more updates.
