As we all know the shooting of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'Theri has been completed and the film's director is presently busy with the postproduction and finalizing the first teaser of the film which has been confirmed as a April 14 Tamil new year release.

The teaser of this 'Theri' will run for 50 seconds and the film's composer G.V.Prakash Kumar had recently confirmed that he is working on the music for the teaser which will be released soon.

Vijay fans who are waiting with bated breathe to break all the previous records of teaser views and likes with the 'Theri' teaser, expected it to release as a Pongal festival treat, but it did not happen, Later it was said that the teaser will release on Republic day but the team rubbished it as a mere rumor stating that the work on the teaser is yet to be completed.

Now we learn from reliable sources that the teaser of 'Theri' will be released on February 5 2016, the first Friday of February month. We will have to wait for an official confirmation on this.

'Theri' has been produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu and it stars Vijay,Amy Jackson, Samantha, J.Mahendran. Radhika Sarathkumar, Mottai Rajendran and a host of other actors.
