Following the huge success of his maiden venture Thimiru, director Tharun Gopi, has now offers pouring in from Tamil and Telugu. But the director has other plans. Guess what? The director plans to take up acting seriously.

Says Tharun, 'It was my childhood dream to become an actor. However fate made me a director. I have listened to several stories and watched several actors from close quarters. There is an urge in me to don the grease paint'.

Asked what his next venture would be, Tharun Gopi, says, 'I have two offers in my hands. I haven't made up my mind. A reputed production house has expressed its desire to produce a movie to be directed featuring myself in the lead role, while plans are also on to produce, direct and act myself'.

On Thimiru, he says, 'It was different one from other gangster films. When I conceived the story, there weren't any such gangster film in Tamil. But when we completed our film, there were more than dozen on such theme. Yet we managed to taste successes'.
