Vikram has expressed happiness on the winning of a National Award by director Bala, with whom he had worked with for two important films in his career- ÂSethu and ÂPithamaganÂ.
ÂWhen he asked me to do ÂPithamaganÂ, the only thing he said was the story is about a man who goes on a revenge mode after the death of his friend. After saying this, he said I would be getting a National Award. As he predicted it right, I got one, says the ÂChiyaanÂ.
ÂThe National Award for which he has been selected now is just a beginning. He would go great heights in the future, the actor says and adds: ÂBecause, Bala is one such person who breathes cinema. Filmmaking runs in his veins.Â
Recalling an incident, Vikram says, ÂIt was the first day shoot of ÂSethuÂ. Bala was a debutant director then. But he neither had confusion nor hesitation in getting the act right from all members of the cast and crew. He is a thorough professional right from day one.Â
