Kamal Haasan is an Indian actor par excellence who is famous for his versatility in acting. Kalathur Kannamma was his first film as a child artist who won him the President’s, Gold Medal. Since then, he has acted in more than 150 movies, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannad, Malayalam and Hindi. He owns a production company, Rajkamal International. Kamal Haasan won the National Award thrice in the best actor’s category for the films Nayagan, Moondram Pirai, and Indian. He has won 18 Filmfare Awards. He is the only actor whose six movies were sent to the Oscars as India’s official entry. He was honored with the Padmashri in 1990 and Kalaimamani by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
