After the iconic film 'Nayakan' directed by Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan has now teamed up again for the upcoming movie 'Thug Life'. The film features an ensemble cast including Silambarasan, Trisha, Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Nassar, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Music is composed by A.R. Rahman, and cinematography is handled by Ravi K. Chandran. The movie is set to release on June 5, and its trailer was launched recently.

During the trailer launch, Kamal Haasan was asked about the speculated storylines circulating on social media. He responded, “Some of the stories were quite interesting. When I worked on 'Virumaandi', people had written five or six versions of what they assumed was the plot. I appreciated their creativity but clarified that my story was different.”

When Mani Ratnam was asked if he pays attention to online criticism, he said, “It’s impossible to avoid social media nowadays. I do read the comments and take note of positive feedback. People often mention how women play important roles in my films. That’s because I've always seen the women in my life as strong individuals, and that naturally reflects in my storytelling.”

The trailer has already gone viral online, with many fans and film enthusiasts expressing excitement. The event was attended by key members of the crew including Silambarasan, Trisha, Abhirami, and A.R. Rahman.
