Titli Deepika gets thumbs up from Big B

Deepika Padukone has come a long way since her Bollywood debut and has evolved as an actor. The versatile actor has got into the skin of various diverse characters effortlessly - be it the fearless and glamorous Veronica in ‘Cocktail’ or the bespectacled Naina in her last release ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. In her upcoming film, ‘Chennai Express’, Deepika is seen playing a sari-clad South Indian girl. The actor is winning many accolades for her earthy and traditional look in the film.

Going by the trailer and the recently released song of ‘Chennai Express’ - Titli, Deepika brings in a lot of vibrancy and freshness with her presence. With about 2 and half million fans on her Facebook page, Deepika has also been playing an important role in making the trailer and the songs viral. She recently tweeted about her song ‘Titli’ to her 3.6 million- strong fan base on Twitter. The online media too, has been buzzing with admiration for the actor.

After watching the trailer of ‘Chennai Express’, veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan too, gave thumbs up to the talented actor by tweeting, Oh ! And saw the trailer of 'Chennai Express' ..simpdly amazing aa !! Deepika so in character .. and SRK doing some great stuff !!. To which Deepika enthusiastically thanked the senior actor. The media, as well, is all praises about Deepika’s performance in her upcoming film. As Rajeev Masand tweets, Deepika Padukone is particularly hilarious in the Chennai Express trailer.

She's in full Hema Malini mode. That girl is on a roll! With the whole world taking notice of Deepika’s versatility as an actor, ‘Chennai Express’ is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of the year. King Khan, too, mentioned at one of his appearances that, ‘Deepika is the soul of Chennai Express’.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Chennai Express’, will be releasing on the 8th of August.
