A riveting tense trailer along with a poster has arrived for writer Steven Knight and director Ed Zwick's docudrama on chess prodigy and legend Bobby Fischer in 'Pawn Sacrifice'.

In the film, Tobey Maguire as Bobby Fischer takes part in 'The Match of the Century" against USSR champ Boris Spassky (Liev Schreiber) at the 1972 World Chess Championship match.

"In a gripping true story set during the height of the Cold War, American chess prodigy Bobby Fischer (Tobey Maguire) finds himself caught between two superpowers when he challenges the Soviet Empire. Also starring Liev Schreiber and Peter Sarsgaard, PAWN SACRIFICE chronicles Fischer`s terrifying struggles with genius and madness, and the rise and fall of a kid from Brooklyn who captured the imagination of the world."

'Pawn Sacrifice' also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Lily Rabe, Robin Weigert and Michael Stuhlbarg and is scheduled to hit select theaters on September 18, 2015.
