Kamal Haasan okays top hero to replace Udhayanidhi Stalin in RKFI 54?

Udhayanidhi Stalin a hardcore fan of Kamal Haasan produced 'Manmatha Ambu' directed by K.S. Ravikumar and starring Kamal, Trisha and Madhavan in the lead roles. Though the film was a flop Udhay once again collaborated with Kamal 12 years later by distributing Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Vikram' that starred Kamal, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya.

'Vikram' turned out to be such a mammoth hit that it earned heavy profits for all the stakeholders worldwide. At the success meet of 'Vikram', Kamal announced that Udhayanidhi Stalin will be playing the lead role in a new movie which will be the 54th film for his RKFI banner. Udhay after becoming a MLA had announced that he has decided that Mari Selvaraj's 'Maamannan' would be his last film but he couldnt refuse Kamal's offer and so agreed to it.

However after becoming the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister last week Udhayanidhi Stalin announced that 'Maamannan' would be his last film and he is opting out of 'RKFI 54'. Now there is a buzz in Kollywood circles that Kamal has already okayed a top actor to replace Udhayanidhi in the film.

According to reliable sources it is going to be Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi who will be playing an intense and politically charged role in 'RKFI 54'. We already broke the news first to you that Prashanth Murugesan of 'Kidaari' and 'Queen' fame will be helming the project. Stay tuned for the official announcement which is expected in the new year.

Meanwhile Udhayanidhi Stalin is still producing Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar as well as 'KH 234' directed by Mani Ratnam. Vijay Sethupathi on the other hand is currently starring in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' directed by Atlee, Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai', Sriram Raghavan's 'Merry Chritstmas' and the silent movie 'Gandhi Talks' in which his costars are Arvind Swamy and Aditi Rao Hydari.
