Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions has collected a record breaking 22.96 Crores to become the all time number one movie at the Chennai Box Office. Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' is second with a take of 14.85 Crores followed by 'Kaala' at 11.62 Crores.
The Mani Ratnam multistarrer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' has done exceptionally well at number 4 with 7.84 Crores while 'Avengers Infinity War' became the highest grossing Hollywood movie ever in the city with 7.25 Crores. The next five places are heled by Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' with 6.29 Crores, Bollywood movie 'Padmavat' with 6.07 Crores, Nayanthara's 'Imaikka Nodigal' with 5.78 Crores, Vishal's 'Irumbu Thirai' with 5.76 Crores and Dhanush's 'Vada Chennai and Vijay Sethupathi's '96' tied in at number 10 with 5.59 Crores.
