Toss

Tosshas an intriguing title and even more intriguing story line. With a castthat reflects the surprise element in the script, Toss stars Raja,Upendra, Priya Mani and Kamna Jethmalani.

Toss, as the name suggests, represents the two sides of the same coin. In that sense, it is themetaphor for the good and bad in an individual.

Priyadarshini Ram,who made the acclaimed Manodu, handles this film and has managed toimpart a sense of surprise into the story.

Raja and Upendra, thecontrast could not have been better.

One is suave, the other isbrusque. But the audience will see a different kind of Raja and Upendrain the film.

Raja says it was a challenge doing the character whileUpendra, who is a kind of a maverick actor in Kannada, accepted itbecause of the intrinsic opportunity. Both are highly happy to be partof the film as it has a wonderful script. Both say the director has comeup with some interesting twists.

Priya Mani, now on a voyage ofrediscovery, has a very author-backed role while Kamna Jethmalani isalso not far behind. Both have combined easy glamour with someattractive acting.

Mani Sharma's music is a talking point.

And toToss will go the credit of being the first Telugu film to be entirelyshot with a Viper Filmstream digital cinematography camera which wasused for Hollywood film Collateral by Tom Cruise.

This helped us tobring down the production costs, said director Ram.

The film was shoton digital camera equipment which needs no changing for colourgradation. It cuts down the costs and time too, he added.

The filmwas shot with the help of the Hyderabad-based Digiquest Studio, anexpert in this type of technical equipment.
