Surya Commends ‘Tourist Family’ Film Crew with a Personal Visit

Chennai: Actor Suriya recently met and congratulated the cast and crew of the film Tourist Family, starring Sasikumar and Simran. Directed by Abishek Jeyanth, the film features Sasikumar, Simran, Yogi Babu, and Ramesh Thilak in lead roles. It was produced by Million Dollar Studios and released by Red Giant Movies, with music composed by Sean Roldan.

Released on May 1 alongside the film Retro, Tourist Family initially had a modest box office opening but has steadily gained popularity. The movie has now grossed over ?50 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. Besides Tamil Nadu, it has also been well-received in Kerala, Karnataka, the US, and the UK. A Japan release is expected soon.

In appreciation of the film’s success, actor Suriya personally invited the director Abishek Jeyanth and the crew to congratulate them. Sharing his excitement on social media, Abishek wrote: “I don’t know how to describe this, but I feel healed inside. Suriya called me by name and told me how much he loved Tourist Family. The child in me is still watching Vaaranam Aayiram for the 100th time. Today, that child is crying tearfully with gratitude. Thank you, Sir.”
