Tourist Family OTT Release Date Update: The Tamil comedy-drama Tourist Family, directed by debutant Abishan Jeevinth, has received widespread acclaim since its theatrical release. The film stars M. Sasikumar, Simran, Mithun Jai Sankar, and Kamalesh, supported by a notable cast including Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, and Ramesh Thilak, delivering both emotional depth and humor.

Set during Sri Lanka’s economic crisis, the story follows a Tamil family’s struggle for survival and a hopeful future. Produced by Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan, the film’s powerful narrative and relatable characters have resonated strongly with audiences.

Initially expected to premiere on OTT platforms by May 28 or May 31, the release appears to be delayed. According to film analyst Christopher Kanagaraj, Tourist Family may now release on Jio Hotstar on June 6 at midnight, although no official confirmation has been made yet.

In terms of box office success, the film has become the 5th highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2025. Per Sacnilk, it has amassed Rs 75.51 crores globally within 19 days, trailing behind titles like Vidaamuyarchi and Dragon. Domestically, it earned Rs 53.55 crores, with Rs 71 lakhs collected on its 21st day.
