Trailer Review: Bharat Ane Nenu

The trailer of 'Bharat Ane Nenu' was released by NTR at a grand event held on Saturday evening.  It gives quite a few takeaways, the most important of them being Bharat's characterization.

It seems Koratala Siva is out to portray his Chief Minister as an authoritarian leader.  And in a society which subconsciously (and sometimes even openly) loves benign dictators and pines for a strong state, this should be very rewarding.  If the dialogues in the trailer are any indication, a harsh Bharat is ready to take unpopular decisions.  Bitter pills must be administrated for the larger good.  This theme was there even in the teaser, where Bharat was heard saying that fear and duty-mindedness are a must.

For all his maverick ways, Bharat may well be a part of the Establishment but with a rare personality and vision.  The way he walks out of the Assembly, one wonders if he is a one-man army.

Once again after 'Srimanthudu', we have the hero almost promising to change the villains: 'Twaralone mee andarini mata meedha nilabade mogallani chesthanani daiva sakshiga pramanam chesthunnanu' is brilliant.

Mahesh's emotional appearance in a couple of shots is very intense.  The title track is writ prominently once again.  The rom-com track is not distinct, though.

Splendid visuals (Ravi K Chandran and Thiru's cinematography, Suresh's art production) are an icing on the cake.
