Trailer Review: ‘Premam’

'Premam' being the remake of a celebrated romantic movie, its trailer was much-awaited.  Chandoo Mondeti, however, ensured that it was cut in a curious way.  Who expected Chay to be seen in 'pancha kattu' and puffing the cigarette, among others?

It's a treat to watch Chay in the role of a teenager in awe of Anupama Parameswaran.  He looks very unsophisticated and slice-of-life in the look.  Surely, this is something where Chay's acting abilities seem to be coming out in a never-seen-before way.

There are no serious, heavy-duty lines in the trailer, though.  The companion of Devadas (no, not the dog, but the drink) is with the pained lover boy.  This time, the complainant is lighter-veined.  From teenage love to adulthood love, the love story has a wide range.  As Chay's character says, keep faith in the heart.  It will lead you to success.

Come October 7, 'Premam' will waltz its way into your hearts.
