Anita Singh (29), a TV actress from Punjab, was recently found murdered in Nainital, Uttarakhand. When the police tried to solve the case after they found her badly-charred body at a public place, they discovered that her husband Ravinder Pal Singh and his friend Kuldeep had killed her mercilessly!

As per the police, Anita's husband suspected that she had been having an extra-marital affair with a Kashmiri man. A few weeks before her murder, Anita requested her husband to let her move to Mumbai to pursue acting offers in the TV industry there.

The husband is reported to have conspired with his friend to kill his wife by making her believe that his friend will help her get in touch with precious contacts in Mumbai. They travelled from Punjab to Nainital and went to meet Kuldeep, who allegedly gave her tea mixed with sedatives at a private place. After she fell unconscious, Anita was strangulated to death by the duo. Her body was later burnt down by the accused.

The police located the charred body accidentally and launched an investigation. With the help of CCTV cameras, they could not only figure out the vehicle in which Anita's dead body was carried by the accused but also the owner who rented out the vehicle. The husband's friend was arrested first and, later, the deceased woman's husband.
