Well-known TV anchor and serial actress Shanti, also known as Viswashanthi in her circle, today breathed her last.  Her body was found at her residence at Yellareddyguda's Engineer's Colony in Hyderabad.  SR Nagar Police Station has registered a case because her death has happened umder "suspicious circumstances" and started a probe.  

Reportedly, the police reached the spot after being informed about the death by neighbours.  They have seized her mobile phone and searched for clues at the residence.  

As her body has been sent for autopsy, the police are also looking into CCTV footage for any suspicious movements of any individual near her house.  The actress' neighbours, too, have been questioned in the hope for clues.
