He has not been seen in Kollywood for quite some time.
After capturing the industry with his twinkle toes, Prabhu Deva has been absent from Tamil filmdom for quite some time now. He has been busy in Telugu.
The buzz in Kollywood now is that this choreographer turned actor turned director might direct Vijay for a Tamil movie to be produced by Prakash Raj.
Prabhu Deva, who is shooting busy for his Telugu venture Pournami, says, 'talks are on in this regard. But Vijay is busy with his Aadhi and Puli. However, I am hopeful of starting Vijay's movie soon'.
Has Prabhu Deva bid bye to acting? He says, 'I never wanted to become a director. I started my career as a choreographer and appeared for a few songs. Then I was forced into acting. Few films clicked and many flopped. I would return to acting if I get a good story that suits me'.
At any rate, he is also acting in Telugu.
