It's known that entrepreneur Elon Musk has taken over Twitter by paying USD 44 billion. The news has become a global wonder of sorts.

At a time like this, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has stated that the future of the micro-blogging site is now uncertain. "Once the deal closes, we don't know which direction the platform will go," he added.

Twitter is soon going to be a privately-held company. Musk will call the shots. On his part, Musk said that he won't deplatform anyone even if he disagrees with them. Which means he won't ban Twitter accounts. The previous board had banned the likes of Donald Trump.

Left-liberals are said to be opposed to Musk taking over Twitter. Author Sarah Kendzior's tweet captures this anxiety: "Musk buying Twitter is a mere symptom of a disease. The disease is control of public discourse by billionaire kleptocrats, extremists, and backers of mafia states. Musk buying Twitter coincides with numerous closures of independent media and investigative journalism outlets that provided a welcome alternative to the mainstream outlets that trade in cheap jabs and cult thinking while ignoring serious crises and real conspiracies."
