In a surprising and exciting development for fans of Lokesh Kanagaraj, two major projects connected to the director officially launched today, marking a rare and celebratory moment in Tamil cinema.

Firstly, the much-awaited film Pence, written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, began shooting today. Directed by Pakiyaraj Kannan, this action-packed venture features a stellar ensemble cast including Raghava Lawrence, Nivin Pauly, and R. Madhavan, all joining Lokesh's popular Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The film is being scored by Sai Abhinayakar and is planned to be shot on a continuous schedule.

On the same day, another film connected to Lokesh Kanagaraj also took off — but this time with the director stepping in front of the camera. The pooja ceremony was held today for a new film directed by Arun Matheswaran, in which Lokesh will be playing the lead role.

This film will be produced under G Squad, Lokesh’s own banner, in collaboration with Fashion Studios and The Root. The project marks a high-octane collaboration between two celebrated action filmmakers, and anticipation is already building around their creative synergy.
