Karunanidhi homage: Two killed in stampede and several injured

After the demise of Karunanidhi yesterday, the entire state has been engulfed into shock and grief. The mortal remains of the DMK supremo is being kept at Rajaji hall where lakhs thronged to catch a glimpse at Karunanidhi and pay their respects.

Reportedly two died and many(about 30 )were injured in a stampede that broke outside Rajaji Hall. Word is that the stampede occured after the police tried to control the supporters using batons. Just earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had visited to pay their homage to the late DMK supremo.

Karunanidhi's final procession is set to begin around 4 pm.
