Sumanth, Swati starrer 'Golconda High School' is a new genre to Telugu cinema. With sports as a central theme of the movie, Golconda High School has a 'Chak De India' flavour. The movie made by 'Ashtachamma' team is up for release this Sankranti and is going to lock horns with big budget films like 'Parama Veera Chakra', 'Mirapakaya' etc.

The movie highlights the importance of sports in school education and tells parents and schools that childhood is not all about education.Sumanth plays a cricket coach.

We hear that the whole 'Golconda High School' star cast had to undergo two months rigorous cricket coaching at M L Jayasimha cricket academy in Secunderabad to get the shots of the movie right. Since Cricket is a popular game, the movie unit didn't want to take chances and hence took coaching to look authentic on screen.

We can't appear dumb on the ground as cricket is a popular game. People know this game very well and we had to look authentic. So, all the kids, me and the other star cast had cricket training at the Jayasimha academy. It helped us get our moves right in the film Sumanth said.
