Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin was last seen in the Seenu Ramasamy directorial rural entertainer Kanne Kalaimaane also starring Tamannaah, Vadivukkarasi and Poo Ramu, and the movie had received fairly decent reviews for the performances.

The actor had signed the thriller Kannai Nambathey, directed by Iravukku Aayiram Kangal director Mu Maran next, and the movie was launched in February. However, the shoot had interruptions as the actor had been busy campaigning for DMK as the Lok Sabha elections were held.

Now with the election results arriving, Udhayanidhi Stalin is all set to resume shooting of Kannai Nambaathey from June 1. The movie also stars Meesaya Murukku fame Aathmika and Sathish, and has music by Sam CS. Udhayanidhi also has movies like Angel and Psycho which are getting ready for release.
